Become a climate champion: Unique opportunity for 18-35 year olds
CAFOD is looking for thirty volunteers, aged 18-35, to become climate champions.
You will take part in an international workshop in summer 2018 on sustainability with other Catholic young people from across Europe. When you return CAFOD will support you in raising awareness about climate change, sustainable living and campaigns in our parish & community.
>More information is on our Youth News webpage, including an application form which should be completed and emailed by 19 March 2018. CAFOD will let you know if you have been successful in gaining a place.
Follow CAFOD’s give it up challenges for Lent fasting ideas
Not sure what to give up for Lent? Take on a give it up challenge to help our brothers and sisters around the world. First, choose your challenge. Then decide whether you will donate the money you save through fasting, fundraise towards the CAFOD Lent Appeal, or ask people to sponsor youduring your challenge.
Your Lenten challenge could be a traditional fast, like giving up sweets, or you could try and make that lifestyle environmental change you’ve been considering for a while. CAFOD has some great suggestions, they can be found here. More information about its work can be found on our CAFOD webpage.
